rear brakes wont bleed?

I know, another question about bleeding brakes. I searched but still need help. My 4runner sat for 10 years and of course everything was froze up. I have changed rear shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware, brake booster, front pads, rotors, calipers, rubber lines, and some various metal lines. After all of that I tried to bleed the brakes and I can't get any fluid to the rear. The front brakes bleed and work fine. The E-brake works and doesn't seem to be stuck. Truck rolls fine. I don't know where the LSVP is so that could be it. Anyone got pics of the LSVP on an 85 4runner? Anything else it could be? I can get a couple of tiny drops of fluid to the back but when I loosen the bleeder the pedal doesn't really change.

the lsvp is above the rear axle. follow the lines from the rear brakes and it will merge into a funky looking device. thats the LSVP and it has a bleeder on it and i would bet its the problem as to why your not getting any fluid to the rear

Thanks. I'll try to bleed the LSVP. If it doesn't bleed then it's probably froze up or something right? How expensive are they and would autozone have them?

Autozone may be able to order it. another thing you could do to get rid of the valve is buy a manual one you can adjust yourself. Those however are best for use with discs in the rear and would require more work to install. i dont know if you could really freeze the line that easily.

One more thing to try if that doesnt bleed is unbolt the line going into the valve coming from the brake master and see if it pumps. if it does and not through the valve the valve could be done and need to be replaced. For a new one you could try autozone but i dont know about them so much, Napa or Rockauto.com would sell it. Also try Froogle and you could find a good deal im sure. Try the above things first and see what happens

Still wont bleed

Well, I finally got around to bleeding my LSVP and it blead fine. I kept bleeding until I had fresh fluid. The first bit of fluid that came out looked like rusty motor oil. Then I tried to bleed the back and still neither one would blead. I disconnected one of the brake lines on the axle after the LSVP and couldn't get any fluid there either. There are no pinched lines that I can see. I might try replacing the single rubber line back there, could be collapesed internally. But other that the rubber line, what could be the problem. Bad LSVP? Can I bypass it somehow?

No fluid

Try undoing the rubber line at the T and see if you get fluid out. My guess it is the rubber line. You can get rid of the prop valve, but you will need to buy one from summit, or wilwood. You will also need a few adapters and a plug. If you need more info and decide to go that route then just ask. I have an 86 runner that I removed the stock valve and replaced with an adjustable unit. I run rear disks which require more fluid. An adjustable valve is good for the drums or disks. My guess is your valve is good.

Yeah, if the valve blead, I dont see how it could be bad. I should probably replace the rubber line anyways. I replaced the two up front. $15 each.

i had a 64 international scout and had the same problem, from sitting ten plus years the fluid had gummed up and some turned to dust " quite literally ", i had to change alot of the lines, most i could spray out with the air hose tho.
