Hi guys, my truck has developed yet another problem, and I really need to try and fix this one. Its an 85 22re, and when the engine is cold (not THAT cold, maybe 50+deg), it wont start unless i hold the gas pedal, and it wont run/idle unless the gas is held also. When it warms up to operating temps it still has a really rough idle, almost to the point that it seems like it could die at any time. It is getting progressively worse, and i dont have a ton of cash to just start replacing parts, but i do need some suggestions. The first things i am going to check out are simple things like the plugs and vacuum lines, and clean the throttle body. The idle adjustment screw does nothing. What are some things that will cause these symtoms? TPS sensor seems like one culprit. Throw out some ideas. Thanks guys.

edit 1/21/12: Fyi, it was the Auxiliary Air Valve aka AAV aka Idle air control valve. The little block off plate was broken causing it to be stuck closed not allowing extra air in.
