84 22r carb problem

I have a rough idle problem. It pops black smoke through the tailpipe about 75% of the time. The other 25% it idles fine. I'm guessing its a float or needle and seat. Sometimes it turns over hard at startup, more in cold weather than warm. I'm thinking more like the float is sticking. Any ideas?

It's the stock asian. I still haven't figured it out, with this cold weather its alot worse. I don't believe its the choke because it comes and goes. I might have some moisture somewhere in there. I've been adding additives but they don't help most of the time. I think theres something sticking in there intermittently that the cold weather makes much worse!!! If I knew for sure it was the carb I would by one but with all the hoses and other junk under there I'm not 100% sure.

no spark

Truck died driving down the road. Towed it home and tried to pull start it on the way. It would kind of start but only idle for a couple seconds. Got it home and no spark at the plugs????? From what I read on hear its probably the igniter. Do'es any one know how to do the chev module swap. I searched last night and found it then lost it!!
