Sucking air??

My toyota is suckin air from somewhere ive replaced fuel pumps fuel filters ran whole new fuel line from tank and put 10 gal of gas in and still bubbling filter i pressure tested for cracks in the pickup assembly that goes in tank. Any one ever had any problems out of the cap that screws into top of fuel tank where fuel lines hook to pickup?

is your truck running bad,or is performance affected by the air in the filter?
try a new filter, maybe you got a defective filter.

It runs like a champ for about 5 minutes then will stall randomly and wont start or run . then like if you leave it for awhile and come back same thing start . if you choke it with your hand to run it for short time or idle theres constant bubbles in the filter like its suckin air somewhere an put a new fuel filter on today

my old 22r done the same thing, once started....ran great.if left parked for more than 8 hours...had to pour gas to fire up.
never solved that issue, just swapped out motors.
post your findings.

just went threw this with a customers vehicle .. he had replaced everything ! carb, lines , pump (3 of them) , filter, pickup tube all , and was still randomly stalling and fuel empty filter . turned out to be the pre filter on the pickup tube in the tank , it had fallen off on the original , and was not replaced on the new one . installed this piece , and fixed his problem

What about that causes it to stall? Mine has one of the bottom screen like sleeves busted out.

yep .. thats the one .
I'm not positive on why it causes air into the system , other then possable debris blocking the intake hole ? but this was the cure for the unit we worked on
