My New 1980 yota!!!!

well,i just wanted to share my new aquisition with the gang, its a extremely clean 1980 longbed never seen salt 4x4 with almost no rust from idaho.this ,my friends this is one of my bucket list trucks, now its in the garage.PO re-placed the 20r with a re-built 22r with a weber.the only things that need attention right away are the front wheel seals(of course) brakes(just worn),shocks, and muffler and tailpipe.has frame off POR15ed the frame and under bed, with a new 2003 nissan canteen green paint..drove it home for $3200.[IMG][/IMG]

just gonna get maintenance stuff done first, already swapped my eagle alloys w/mts on it,stereo etc for now.this is going to be myDD,weekend trailtoy type truck, sooo, maybe a 2.5" spring lift w/shocks in the near future. have to tackle those wheel seals first, really not so excited about that.

That is beautiful. I like how it looks without a rear bumper but you ought to get one before someone bumps you in a parking lot!

Extremely nice truck and a hell of a deal! Consider yourself lucky!

I'll be heading up to Green Bay for our annual guys trip to Lambeau Field on December 9th to watch the Pack take on the Lions, so if it goes missing around that time... I didn't do it!

Yep. Clean looking body. VERY nice. I like that color, and the flat black accents on side line and mirrors. You get to choose a bumper! Have FUN!

I like the wheels it came with too. Awesome find!

The tailgate looks very good. Mine has dettachment at the tiny welds inside on top. I want to find a new replacement. But can't. Is there any aftermarket bumpers available with the lift latch? I'd like to replace it with a stock replacement with Toyota letters if possible. Does anyone know of a parts vender with 1st gen tailgates?

Nice truck and a great find. I have been looking for a similar truck but all the ones in Alabama are missing doors/a bed and sitting on 44s or way to much money.

Pingpong:
Check out slacker's stuff. (4 posts up)
Got me thinking I may not want to do a flatbed and just get one of his when my bed finishes rusting out (it's hanging in there, but it's just a matter of time.)
