you will need 4" lift methinks. Why put hysteer on a non-lifted truck? If you are not wheeling it, the stock steering is fine.

He has his motor out and thought it would be easyer to do it plus his had hi steer sitting around for a long time so he thought he should go ahead and do it. He does wheel it also alot. and dont want to lift it right now because of money.

You'll need about 3" of lift to have the draglink clear the frame and springs. Might be able to get by with less lift if you notch the frame for the draglink. I had ~3"-3.5" of lift on my '85 and was able to squeeze crossover steering in there, but it took some work to adjust the draglink height to clear the frame. It would just rub on the springs with the passenger side at full droop.

I think you could do it with no lift if the springs/axle were moved forward. However if your still on stock suspension, steering and smaller tires...I wouldn't bother.

Don't forget the IFS steering box and mount kit that is necessary. What kind of High steer is it? I am in the market for one if he doesn't really need it.
