The worlds safest table saw

http://www.sawstop.com/

Videos on the site.
Second vid shows the guy's hand missing fingers.

I can relate to safe stuff like this being a safety focal at work.
We have carpenters in our workgroup here.

we had one of those in my HS shop, it was all good till you have to replace the brakes after each time it is stopped like that.

definately that thing is top notch. my buddies dad is a big time wood worker, has his own shop and all. hes got one says the guys that invented it tried to sell the idea to many major tool companys, but it never worked out. now hes got one of the best products on the market today. i think craftsman missed out big time on this one!

If you habitually stick your fingers where they don't belong than you have much larger concerns that replacing the brakes...

Amazing, I loved the hot dog video, I found what I want for Christmas and I don't care if its twice as much as what I paid for my DeWalt, its worth it.

Haha thats awsome, i will have to show my buddy thats a cabinet maker. My shop teacher way back in school got taught us to use the band saw by getting us to trace our hands then cutting them out. Once we had all cut the trace out we went around to each machine and he would run our wooden trace through whatever it was to show how easy to cut the fingers off, that really made it sink
