OCALA FL 3-31-06 Dry Season
My group ventured out to the Ocala National Forest on Friday for some light wheeling. There was nothing out of the ordinary other than the extremely dry conditions. A great deal of power line driving comsumed most of our day with the occasional stop for a small lake or pond to change up the driving terrain. Now speaking of ponds and lakes the only one to get stuck there was indeed the somewhat heavy ML. Now being a mercedes their roots in the offroad scene go back a ways mainly in military vehicles but think of it like a baby unimog with IFS on all four corners, any a pretty advanced traction control system "NOT like what we find on our Yotas" this system actually sends the power to the wheels with th most bite. Anyhow he got stuck after crossing the deep ruts he had just made and when the ML gets stuck it frames out and has a gross weight of about 1K more than a 4 runner. We used the old toyota mentality if it doesnt come out the first time keep trying, and eventually the 02 Taco retrived the luxury vehicle and we were off again.
The line of business it seemed was to clear the trail, there not meerly debris but a stranded vehicle. The Mercedes carrying the South African Model decided to be the balls of the group and pull the stranded pickup out of the way. Early on the Crazy Asian "Black ML320 in the pictures" spotted what appeared to be a natural articulation/ break over angle thing. Then we moved on to a Dakar style power line run with no amazing tops speeds.
Then somehow my front fender came loose and now is still flexed out a bit. After the race we drove forever into nothingness and I can say my new suspension setup if full broken in. To many whoops to count up, down, up, down, bottom out, top out, back to bottom out, well I guess it would not have bottomed out had it not been for the front fenders damn fenders do i even need those. Toward the end of the day I noticed it was getting late and I still had an hour and change to get home pack and then another two hours in the car to travel to south FL to visit family and scope out another day trip spot "Corbit National Wildlife Preserve"

So the front lift is Tundra coils and 2 topout spacers-correct?
If so, any rubbing with the 33.9" tires? Have you cut and pounded the pinch weld or inner fender?

Yes top out spacers tundra coils tacoma struts and a 1" wheel adapter w/o the wheel adapter they rub the upper a arm just slightly, with the 1" wheel adapter in place they rub the fenders, have not hammered the pinch weld yet but intend to soon, the bumper will be replace soon enough too.
