Have trouble finding a 2020 Tundra in Army Green? If you wait for the 2021 model year, Army Green hunting should be a LOT easier.

Buying a new truck is a big financial decision, so you want to do the absolute best to make sure you get all the options and features you really want. This is part of why it is so frustrating to see automakers limit certain paint colors to limited or low-production models. For example, if you wanted to buy an Army Green Tundra or Tacoma in the last year, you had to buy a TRD Pro model, and you probably sat on a waiting list. It seemed easier to get tickets to see Hamilton than it was to buy a green Tundra.

Thankfully, Toyota has been bringing exclusive TRD colors down the lineup the year after it launches. According to Torque News, this means 2021 should see this awesome colorway come to more trucks so more folks can have the model they want, and they can get it in the color they want. As awesome as the TRD Pro is, we are personally bigger fans of the Limited and 1794 Edition models. We will happily trade some off-road performance for more luxury and better towing ability. Plus can you just imagine how amazing that brown leather interior of the 1794 will look with that sexy green paint on the outside?

It’s enough to make a man drool.

Other Tundra trims that will get the Army Green treatment include the SR5, and the Tacoma gets the paint for SR5, Limited, TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road. The new 2021 Trail Editions get the option of Army Green exteriors as well. This means that you have a better chance than ever to snag yourself a pickup in one of the best colors Toyota has released in years.

Of course, that is if you can resist this year’s TRD Pro-exclusive color. You see, that might be the biggest problem with buying a new Tundra or Tacoma. Every year Toyota is putting out new incredible colors. From Inferno Orange in 2015, Cement in 2016, and the gorgeous Cavalry and Voodoo Blues of 2018 and 2019, Toyota is killing it with the interesting hues. Except for Quicksand, that was a bad color. For 2021 we are getting Lunar Rock. The color is available on the RAV4 (pictured above), and it’s a silvery metallic that turns more gray or more green depending on how the light hits it. It certainly is not as aggressive or interesting as Army Green, but it sure is pretty.
