Toyota Pickup’s Multi-Purpose Box Is Simply Ingenious

By -

Initial installation requires a bit of work, of course. You’ve got to remove your truck’s bed and install the flat tray, which can be done with a forklift. But once that’s complete, you’ve got a storage-filled mounting platform for the box and tent. And if you want to remove the box when you’re not using it, simply jack it up and drive away. The box is constructed from aluminum, so it’s also pretty darn light.

You can load your box with everything from 12V power supplies to water tanks and pumps to furniture. It’s a pretty ingenious design that fits not only Toyota trucks, but any other brand as well. Of course, this cool piece of kit isn’t exactly cheap, starting out at around $23k. But if you’re the overlanding type, it might just be worth every penny!
