The 97s didn't have the conical bumpstops from the factory but if the tsb for the rear springs was done then you will have them on a 97.

Do you have a multimeter? Check the wire resistance first. Odds are your plugs or wires are the cause. I just went through this myself.

That's a good idea. I did have my injectors professionally cleaned a couple of years ago and the guy who cleaned them said they were in good working order at that time. But, it probably wouldn't hurt...
