forgot to metion it only ticking when it got to full temp ,

hey just read ur thing about valve lash 5vz. i had a super niosy valve train on my s/c 5vz. i took the valve covers off and found that both banks of exhast are .013 / .014 . this is in spec s listed for alldata, but i will take your advice at set them to .015 do you think .015 is the best for the truck because its s/c . what would be ideal for intake clearence. i have between .007--.009 is this alright . i also ordered the tool from snap on to remvove shims with cams in what your opion . thank you that post was a life saver .......00 s/c v6 2jz injectors trd headers . this is waht a i got

For me its perfect. My 5th in 4lo is just a bit lower than my 1st in 4hi... For rock crawling the 4.7's are awesome, i only use 4lo while crawling (an stock range wouldn't be low enough). When im in the river or mudding im pretty much always in 4hi. So for what i do i would never use a stock low range. But my truck is built to crawl, so i guess it depends on what you plan on doing with it...

I know man, my poor 4runner hasn't been wheeled in forever! Im doing a bunch of little stuff to it this weekend to help get it ready to go.

Not for awhile. Im gonna do a little tune up soon to get it ready for summer but thats about it.
