ive replaced a couple, you need to tear apart alot of the dash just to get to them. it sucks and it was a pain in the butt for me to figure it out but it takes a philips screw driver and a 10mm socket to take apart the dash, the ones ive done had a plastic box to cover the speaker and it acts as a box to amplify the sound and yield better qualities. but there should be a kick pannel on both sides, that comes off with the socket, then look around for screws, 2 or 3 are in the jockey box, one is under your E brake. its pretty simple, your going to have to use some force to get the plastic off, its nerve racking if your concerned about breaking it. those boxes i told you about earlier use 4 specific screws to take them off, dont loose them, then there are 4 screws holding the speakers in.
sounds like a ton of work for 2 little speakers but for me it takes about 15 minutes, first time it took me close to an hour because i was learning. its a breeze when you've done it twice the oldest toyota ive done this on was a 90, yours could be different

google is your friend, this was the first thing that popped up when i searched "speaker install in a 1995 toyota". this is a walk through on how to do the radio, but the process to remove the radio is very similar to accessing the speakers, now is a good time to replace the radio if you have not already and were thinking about it, since your dash will be disassembled.
the only materials you should need would be some speaker harnesses, you can get them at a local install shop, best buy etc. they will plug right in to the factory plug and clip on to your new speakers, keeps it simple with no cutting wires.
good luck

my question is why? why would you cut up a clean looking dash to add speakers? if you take a good look at the location of the front speakers, you will notice that even the small 4" speakers they have in there already take up most of the available space. you may be able to squeeze a 5.25" in there, but in my opinion, the amount of work it would take versus the amount of sound you would gain wouldnt be worth it.
lets start fresh, what are you trying to accomplish here?

what i meant by that was what are you looking to do, more sound? as in a bigger speaker, or just a factory replacement size for the old blown ones? if you have a friend that has an audio shop, go over ooption with him to cut some 6.5" speakers into the doors. larger size, more options and possibly even amplify them at a later date.

i just wanna replace the blown stock ones idc about how loud the speakers get im confused at why i cant cut the old ones out and just wire up the new ones itll cost me 20 bucks that way instead of 75 and getting the done at the audio shop

if you want to cut your tuck all, by all means dont let me stop you. i gave you the step by step on how to take them out, which would not require you to pay anyone. the money you save could be invested in better speakers. but again, if you want to cut, cut away.

your new speakers should come with some pre terminated wires. splice those in with the wires from the vehicle and you should be good to go

I put some Blaupunkt 4" 3-ways in place of the stock blown ones, ...and while they're not INTENSE, they put out GREAT highs and mid range... So I just adjust to Fader-1-Rear(to my 6x9's) and then the sound is REALLY clean, even with an old super tuner. EASY swapping in new 4"ers where the old ones were.... no need for an audio shop, neither lol.
