hard to say, havent drove around with them yet. gf car been blocking my runner in for a few days, her shifter cable broke and part wont be here till monday. since i didnt have any blown speakers, the alpine seems to be louder and cleaner sounding, dont expect much bass lol. also i still have a stock head unit. im slowly upgrading everything to alpine, if i can fit 6x9 in the rear, those will be next

I would like to see a door panel install of some 6.5 inch speakers in an early pickup or 4 runner but can't seem to find an install thread with photos. Just curious about placement to clear the window and what not. I actually just picked up a set of these same alpine type s 6.5's for $10! A guy wrecked his taco and sold a bunch of little stuff cheap as dirt. Got a radioshack CB for $10 too.

so the 4 inch speakers are much better than my stockers. dont expect much or any bass but crystal clear highs to slight mids all on a stock premium head unit. with the windows down i can hear my music perfectly but i guess the window deflectors helped too haha.

as for as door speakers go. you best bet would be removing the panel, rolling window down and see where you have room. its what i would do but i dont like cutting my stock panels

I just installed these in my 85 dash and they fit really well and sound amazing compared to the stockers . I did notice a bass blocker filter on the speaker (little yellow cap) which pretty much eliminates all the low notes . I also put a pair of 6.5'' alpine marine speakers in the rear extra cab panels and a 10'' infinity subwoofer in a small ported box hooked to a 500wt alpine amp man all i can say is wow this suckers rockin now !! "SPS-410 GOOD"
