03 Tacoma speakers

What size/brand/kind of speakers are you running in the front of your 1st gen tacoma? I've bought two different sizes, 5x7 and 6x8 (the recommended size) and neither one of them fit. Am I missing something in regards to the front speakers?

doode if they dont fit, make the holes bigger

I'm not looking to trim the door panels. I'm looking for speakers that actually fit in the stock space provided.
