There actually is a gel that can be used to protect homes during a wildland fire. I don't know the origin of the product and I don't think that it is very popular, because by the time a home is threatened it is to late to start applying the gel. I have wrapped structures in a foil like product which in my opinion was a wast of time and mainly just public relations.

Actually someone beat me to it, but what I do in a pinch is pour about a half of one of those small red tin boxes of black pepper into the radiator and it gathers at the leak and expands. Works amazingly well, does not clog things up, and comes out when you flush the cooling system.

idk if i posted this one but...if you spill oil on concrete...pour gas on it and light it...my dad does it all the time, but for everyone out there, idk if i would do this every single time...just when you really have to.
it works great though, only if you get the oil before it actually "sinks in and stains"

Coolant leak black pepper thing...
take one egg and a 1/2 teaspoon (generous pinch) of black pepper beat it together and pour in rad. Stops leak and will not clog coolant galleries like bars leaks has been known to from time to time.

tips and stuff
Don't use brake cleaner and any type of heat or flame. You can get phosgene gas poisoning. It is a nerve gas and the Nazi's used it in their camps.
Dandruff shampoo is a good hand cleaner (I used the dollar store brand)
KY Jelly on rad hoses. makes them slip on easier and you aren't contaminating the coolant with an oil product.
wd40 to get gum out of your kids hair.
roll a piece of duck tape around your finger to quickly pull out bee stings by dabbing them with your tape wrapped finger

ok so heres my two peniths worth instead of glass cleaner try dry newspaper its awesome cleaning your windows and gets rid of the greese marks aswell. deep penertraring oil is real good for making your vehicles plastics uber shiny. wd40 is also good on gas parts in riffles is a trick we use in army to save scrubbing with scotch brite. bees wax as a base coat on your boots before ya polish them gives ya that glass look instead of painting them which cracks the polish. computer fans built in to your stereo install to cool amps etc. condoms for waterproofing engine components and/or water storage. if i think of any more ill let ya all know.
