95 vs 3rd gen 4runner front end?

Well ive thought is over and after starting to learn to weld and doing alot of looking around, ive decided im probabally going to get a trail gear front bumper for a 2nd gen and attempt to fab it to fit a 3rd gen, ive seen around people building off the base winch plate, but no actual buildups of it. What are the key differences between a 2nd and 3rd gen front assembly? How hard/simple would it be to fab something up to make it work?

i can't tell you off the top of my head. But you will need to make sure the vehicles are the same width. I have no clue about the mounting either. You could research some bumper threads for both 2nd gen and 3rd gen bumpers and see how they are similar or not simliar.

thanks for the replys
would any of yall be able to measure width and height and depth of bumper and stuff like that, i cant seem to find alot.

Also if anyone has adapted the winch plate for a 3rd gen your input would be appriciated, i believe Gerdo, i think i read somewhere you built yours off of a winch plate, how did you do that, cause its basically the same fit I think

A good welding project to try out the new skill would be to make one from scratch. I like making things way more then moding them to work. Maybe thats just me though.

id love to build up my own, but i just dont have the equipment necessary to do so, i mean i could make a small bracket to help with the Trail Gear bumper, but from what ive seen the winch plate fits , and if that fits then the bumper should the only thing i really need to look into is the width, so can anyone do me a huge favor and tell my the width of a 2nd gen bumper, from corner, i guess light, to corner?

Just give Trail Gear a call. I believe they are making 3rd Gen bumpers now and even if they are not they will take a measurement for you. Great group of guys up there in Sac town. Just call them 877/4x4-toys
