Figured I'd give you 4runner guys some ideas for more rear bumpers. Still not done yet but I'll keep getting pictures after every day of fabricating. In the pics you'll notice two tubes, the rear tube and the bottom tube, I'm going to connect those and run a brace through the middle for support. From the bottom tube I'm going to just notch a tube and run it right to the frame for side support. Also going to plate the top so it'll be a nice platform to stand on, let me know if you have any questions

Here is what I got done the past couple days I still have to add frame supports for the wings (side protection) and another upright between the two tubes to the passenger side, let me know what you think!

Taking into consideration of the weird corners on these trucks, I don't think there are many other options to make a round tube rear bumper. How would you have done it?

holy chit man...that looks awesome! i havent seen a tube style rear bumper on a 3rd gen before...and me likes! definitely starting to like the tubage lately (or maybe im just accepting the fact that ill probably never get a tjm style bumper :cry: )...i think it flows better with sliders. too bad it uncovers all the nasty underneath though..same with the front.

anyway, keep us posted with the fab work once its all said n done. what are you running up front btw looks like more tubes...got pics ?

Yeah it does uncover a lot of the body and stuff but oh well, it's a wheeler Next time I get some work done on it (probably tomorrow) I'll get some shots of the front bumper for ya

dude thats a pretty sick looking bumper. i take it this was a cheaper route than doing a rear bumper similar to what steve makes since its just tube?

was this your first fab job? if so, damn thats impressive.

def looks good. I'm glad you strayed from the generic tube rear bumper.

Could you take one from the side a little farther out? you have a close one thats straight, but the other is diagonal. If you got time.

Also, if that indeed was your first fab job nice work.

I guess if you can get the hookup on plate steel then go for it. I spent 75 bucks on steel (2 14' sticks of 1 1/4" pipe, 4' of 3" C channel and some 1/8 flat bar) total so yeah it was cheap if you consider 75 bucks cheap

Definitely not my first fab job. So far I've made like 3 front bumpers, 3 rear bumpers and 1 set of sliders. Here is a picture of the sliders that I made for a buddys 82 Toyota. I cut my square tube sliders off and will be making myself a set of these with a few changes

Not a recent picture though. Sold the soft top, painted some ลลลล green (grill & fender flares). Right now I'm searching for a hard shell and waiting for the rear Diamond axle to come in

diamond axles...havent seen one on a taco like yours. i'm interested to see that.
