Talking 2nd Gen tube bumper

I want to ditch the factory rear bumper so I can put inch & a half to two inch thick tubing on. I am looking for a higher look in the rear. Anyone have any good designs I can use to get this built? I do not have the funding for ARB or TJM so this is where I stand. I have a buddy with a welder and will have to take my tubing down to be bent being I know nobody with a tube bender. Just looking for the designs or ideas. thanks, Blue

Here's the rear tuber on Rome's rig.

Only thing with this design is the 2nd gen 4Runner has some fugly ridges on the side that will show.

Rome's rig does not have this, so it looks better on a truck than a 4Runner.

You could always use a design like that one and put some 11ga sheet metal in the openings on the sides

I am going to build something like that as well, but I plan on putting it on over the stock rear bumper. I figure if I remove the rear hitch and put a bumper like that on I will still gain ground clearance and departure angle over the stock hitch.

The All-Pro bumper is pretty simple and beefy. I wouldnt think it would be to hard to fab something similar.
