In the case of the ones above yes, we welded 1/4" plate and with 1/4" C-channel for the two uppers.
I normally recommend guys either weld on the bumper in 1" stitches or weld in the 1/4 wall plate behind it. I have had two of my bumpers ripped off people's rigs who didn't do this. Nothing happened to the bumper itself, just the stock mounting holes were ripped through the frame. Once fixed correctly, the bumper went right back on.

Thanks I thought that you did something else as well, are those the stock bolts? and what are the nuts on there for, also have you had any problems with the stength of the stock threads.
