Back to Sedona
Just throwing this out there to gauge interest. Right now I'm looking to run back to Sedona the second weekend in June and will probable be running Oak Creek Homestead and Smiley Rock.
Hopefully, this time around we won't run into this at Oak Creek: ![]() ![]() Trying to avoid the majority of the Pink Jeeps tours as well.

I'll be running back up to Sedona the second weekend in June.
Looking at spending the night Friday night (due to some mountain biking that day ) and camping Saturday night around the Smiley Rock area.Friday night might try to run Broken Arrow in the dark (going the reverse way ). Then Saturday run Oak Creek, Smiley Rock and whatever else there is time for (Mingus Mountain, Greasy Spoon, BA again).Any interest. ![]()

I might be able to squeeze that trip in. I've been wanting to run Sedona for a while now.

I would probably be interested as well.
I was planning to go up there on Saturday morning to do Broken Arrow and what ever else I can find. Sedona is pretty cool, minus the yuppie scene.

Well, it's settled. I have that Friday off now (thanks to some comp time
)and will be heading up to Sedona on Friday and Saturday. Departing Sunday morning with the sun rise.Won't be biking since my mountain bike is haunted and has tried to kill me the past two weekends so I'll be running a few trails on Friday as well. Here's the tentative schedule. Friday - Going to be taking Schnebly Hill Road then Van Duren Cabin or Rattlesnake Canyon Trail and Broken Arrow later that day. Camping Friday night either at a campsite or just somewhere . Be arriving in Sedona somewhere between 10am and noon.Saturday - Mingus Mountain Loop, Goat Peak Trail if we can find it, Oakcreek Homestead, Greasy Spoon that portion that is still driveable (a portion is pretty bad due to the rain last year). Looking to camp along Smiley Rock somewhere (any good ideas, where to camp Tim ).Sunday - head home with the sun rise. Two members from the Yuma4wheelers will be coming (don't be afraid to wheel with the jeeps )

If anyone is planning on coming up Friday night and is interested in camping as group let me know. Saturday night will be camping along Smiley Rock as mentioned earlier.
I'll have two bags of firewood since I didn't use them on the crown king run.

Was just up at Mingus/Sedona this past weekend. Wx was great and scenery was beautiful as usual. Campsites fill up quick so "just somewhere" might be a better plan.

Carl and 06taco are you guys still interested in coming. I'm trying to finalize the trails and I want to get a head count of who all is coming. I'm limiting the vehicle numbers due to the pink jeep tours on some of the trails. Tim your still more that welcome to come. I'm looking for 9 vehicles at the very max. 3 vehicles will be coming from Yuma not including myself that I know of.
Meeting location will be Friday night if you guys are inrested in running BA at night will be the Cirlce K at 711 Highway 179, Sedona, AZ at 8 pm. Saturday morning meeting loation will be same and will be meeting at 8:00 am to try and beat the pink heeps on the trail, then head to the other trails afterwards. These are the possible Friday/Saturday trails: Broken Arrow Mingus Mountain Loop Goat Peak Trail Oak Creek Homestead Smiley Rock Greasy Spoon Rattlesnake Canyon Schenbly Hill Road (they I'm taking on Friday) I'm going to be a bit of a shutter bug on Friday and a little on Saturday so you guys will have to put up with me (I tend to take it slower to enjoy the trail/ride). CB Channel will be 1.

Sorry man, I can't give you a solid answer until that week.... work and crap. If I can make I'll check back with you to see if you still have an open spot. If not I'll catch up with you on another trail.
