I'm into it, and I know 1-2 others near me who are definately into it as well. I don't mind chipping in to help get it started.

Guys,

i'd love to do more here to help organize this but i'm really swamped.

my suggestion would be to first look at what other well-organized clubs do such as TTORA. there are a few ttora folks here anyways, so advice is only a few keystrokes away.

from there, its just a matter of getting a list together of interestd members and trying to meet to discuss.

also, given that CA is such a big place, if it were me, id separate it into No Cal and So Cal.

Thats my suggestions.

I'd be interested in helping out a SoCal chapter. I've got 2 Runners myself and know of a few other people (toyotas run long in my family/friends) with 4Runners that would be interested.

Stickers, dedicated web forum (already here), meeting events, etc. is what we need.

We went through most of this a few months ago.
I am wondering if we are making too big a deal of the whole thing. I think this is what we need.

1. A list of members so we can keep in contact, by email, phone etc, and organize events.
2. Something that shows we are in a club, like stickers, banners, etc.
3. A simple web site like the one started earlier, but functional, that is a place to gather and diseminate info.

I had a company ready to make the 4ROC logo decals for us when we first started all this, that got shot down so that we could ..... forget the whole thing?
Anyway, I haven't contacted him in a while, but in San Diego we've been holding our own informal "trail meetings" and doing what 4Runner owners love to do. Go 'wheelin!

I stopped working on "functional" on the web site when the apathy level got too loud. If y'all want, I'll fire it up ag'in. Don't mind doing the work; just don't want to do it for no reason!

I can't believe they beat us...

Well we're officially behind now....

They already have these stickers for sale on their website. 2 for $5 to boot!
Hey Scottiac could you send me a copy of your 4ROC-CA logo? I wanted something I could show the graphics guy, and maybe a new avatar. But I don't know how to photochop it with my current avatar.

Scott,
I love the site. I don't want it to be too much work for any one person though... I think it would be easiest to make it a place that is used to gather the membership info (like you have it set up) and provide info on trips and such without a ton of upkeep. Could you make the sign up page work without too much trouble then we could have a database of people that might be interested in Tees or Stickers or Trips. It seems that you have already done the majority of the web design work. We just need a page of people so we can contact each other directly if we want to go wheeling with someone nearby, and a short news page, like you already have, to show trips and contact info for the leaders.

Am I out of line here? Do we need all this, or should we just keep in contact on Yotatech?

What do you all think?

Arright. I'm on it. One live sign-up page and member list coming up. I'll work on it during my flights over the next few days. Should be ready by next weekend.

(BTW, we are already linked to the "main" web site, I believe!)
