Summit Racing

Let me preface this by saying I'm not new to mail-order. I've probably spent over $5000 within the last few years building VW projects, from too many different companies to count.

I just had my first dealing with Summit, though. Here's how it went.

Saturday at lunchtime I found a light-bar online I wanted from Summit. The 'Pro-Comp' bar. Anyway, I place the order. Good price.

About 30 minutes later, I get an e-mail saying my card was declined. CRAP! I knew I had more than enough money to cover it. In the e-mail was an 800 number. I called it, and my call was answered within 2 minutes. A fella looked up my online order, and apparently I had mistyped a number online. He processed my card, it went though, and he said it would ship out on Monday (yesterday). Very nice and efficient. The call took less than 5 minutes total

Fast forward to today. At 5am I recieved an e-mail with shipping confirmation and tracking. When I got home from work, the light bar was on my doorstep! How is that even possible? Shipping was ground. Yeah, it only had to come from Georgia, but still. Plus, it was packed extremely well, and they included a catalog.

I bookmarked www.summitracing.com and will definitely visit them in the future. It's been a LONG time since I've been impressed with mail-order.

I ordered a set of shocks from them and 2 shocks came without the sleeves that go in the bushings. I called them on a saturday, and got a call from Edlebrock on Monday. I dont have the sleeves yet but I was impressed that they even relayed the message.

Summit rocks!

I have been buying from them for 10 or 15yrs.

My wife called them way back when and wanted to get headers for my Chevelle, the guy not only walked her thru everything he needed to know but she said he did it in a way that did not make her feel dumb. The only answer she had for him when he asked what type of car is it was "i know where the gas goes".
he walked her thru the rest. and tossed in t shirts to boot.

I have called for part not even listed in the catalog and got quick efficient answers, i have ordered parts i didn't even know what they where called before i called in.

They just seem to get better with time.

I'm in Sacramento and I have a buddie in Grass Valley. Sometimes if we don't want to wait for shipping we'll drive to Reno to pick it up. Whatever it is. Usualy some suspension part for his Dodge. I can't talk trash though cause he helps me take real good care of my Toyota. My Tacoma for a long time, now my Runner.

I bought my rear gears and install kits from them. Got them a week earlier than they promised (today). They're okay in my book. I also got a catalog and a free hat
