ok thanks man. also, would i have to get new, longer shocks if i just got like a 2 or 3 inch lift? i just bought some new rancho's and they ride great on and off road and i dont want to have to buy another set of shocks. the xtra lift can wait if new shocks is the case.

Well of course you'll have to get new, longer shocks.
If you don't (assuming your shocks are the correct length now), you'll loose downward droop equal to the amount of lift that you're installing.

ya, i just wasnt sure cause you dint really get the full 2 inches of lift when you get a 2 inch lift. thanks.

With a suspension lift you'll likely need longer shocks:

If you go with a body lift, the suspension remains unchanged and you'll get whatever lift you install:
