Torsion bar adjustment

Hello,

I was looking for advice on how not to snap my bolts when adjusting my t-bars. should I spin the bolt first with the impact without a wrench on it. The truck has been oil sprayed religiously and not wheeled (yet lol) so the bolts look good, no rust. I am a little hesitant to use the torch with soo much oil everywhere, don't want to burn the new rig, any suggestion

Soak em in PB blaster and crank away

Oh man your gonna snap them. Before I did anything on my 95 4runner I bought 2 new adjusting bolts. I even soaked the old one in PB and I put the impact on them and sure enough I snapped them!

Nahhhhh.......dont scare the poor guy! I didnt snap mine but I WAS smart enough to go to the dealer and buy 2 new bolts just in case. Mine was my daily driver at the time

Get new ones. I was getting the torsion bars out of the 90 4x p/u chassis I have, and I had to cut one of them out, it was a pain.

what is the specific name for them to make ordering easier ? I need to cut mine out...

EDIT: never mind, "torsion bar adjustment screw" worked when I went to dealer today
