WEell it is nice to know that many think the T-max is a good buy - so I will pass that on whenever others ask. I do love my 9.5ti but in all reality I don;t always need the turbo.. LOL (A Turbo Winch - now *that's* an oxymoron!)

I got a Mile Marker 8000 lb winch before getting my Warn M8000. The mile marker broke the first time i used it, and i wasn't even near its capacity. I was trying to winch a 2WD Chevy S-10 (no lift, or larger tires). I got the Mile marker from Costco for $475ish so $550 for the Warn was well worth it. It hasn't let me down since

Quick update: Witnessed my pal's Heep on its first (since its latest morphing) off road punishment session.
His T-max did double duty, as the other Heepist had his winch pile up early in the day.
It pulled all day long, (tested its submersible claims, even), and gave no trouble.
A circuit breaker (my pal hates fuses) for the winch kept popping once in a while, but apparently it was marginally sized to start with....
Its line speed was very good, too.
Having seen it in action now, I'd buy one without a second's hesitation.
