suzuki guy needs toyota guys help

first off, hello everyone. i spend most of my time at the zuwharrie.com forum but the guys over there have limited toyota knowledge. i'm building a 2-door sidekick on toyota axles and i'm wondering what wheels i can steal off of another truck that will give me a little more offset.

example: if you want some offset wheels on a suzuki then you can just get some bronco wheels and they fit perfect.

Depending on the center holes, some chevy rims can work, but I would stick to Toy rims. Just check the backspacing on them, if you're going for more offset, look for less backspacing.

I think Dodge Dakota rims would fit. Not 100% sure though.

tech,

Most Japanese 4x4s use the same lug pattern (6 on 5.5) as Toyota: Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu.... also some Chevys: Tahoes, Suburban, Blazer, K5, and some of the old J**p Wagoneer, Honchos, etc. So if you're looking for a good deal from a junk yard or newspaper ad your choices are pretty broad. OEM wheels probably wont give you that much offset, but again, a zuk with toy axles gets a pretty wide stance so your wheels will stick out even with 7 or 8 inch wheels.

BTW: I wouldnt steal them

I am almost positive Dodge Dakotas use 6 on 4.5, not 6 on 5.5 like Toys.

Dakota wheels are 6x4.5, so they won't work with the toy axles. Also, watch some of the chevy wheels. Some, like the steel "rally" wheels or earlt centerlnes won't clear the calipers of early, solid front ends. My steelies from discount tire were cheap( $46 each for 15x10) and clear great. Sami's are great, my brother's follows my 82 pu everywere. Put some power into the, like a rotary swap, and they are killer.

the new GM wheels will not work because the center bore is too small, i think the old k5 era will work though, also nissans have the same pattern and same center bore. good luck
