Quiestions on Fabtech Coilover Kit.
I am looking at the 0-3.5 inch Fabtech coilover lift kit. I saw somewhere on the website that it said dont raise it more then 2" without locking hubs. Whats the deal there? Can you raise it higher, and what exactly does a manual locking hub do? Treat me with the idiot gloves, Im new to wheeling. My truck is going to mostly be a street queen. Its an 04 Double Cab Prerunner. I'm looking at the coilover lift, 15 inch pro comp series 1069 wheels and BFG Mud Terrain 33's. Any info on this manual locking hub, coilover lift thinkg would be great. Thanks.

If your truck is 2WD, then you don't have to worry about any of that since you don't have a front diff.
You only have to be concerned about the locking hubs if you have a 4WD with IFS.

yup, as jeff said, if your 2WD no worries. raising coilovers higher than 2.5" or so will put more severe angles on the CV's causing more stress and wear. but of course prerunners dont have front CV's.
and since you dont have front CV's, you dont have to worry about manual hubs which disconnect the front hubs to the drivetrain, thus not spinning the CV's. manual hubs for tacos are $$$ and not as easy as earlier (read: pre 95.5) trucks.

When I saw a Taco on the highway the other day that was lifted to the sky, my first thought was how the heck he did it - huge BL?
Then I saw he was a prerunner. Nothing to worry about up front. Lift away, Dude!
