Question mini spools

Ok so I've got a '88 toyota pickup, has the v6 with a 5 speed. My problem is I am planning on doing a motor swap to wither the 4.3 or a 350 not real sure yet. I also want to lock the rear end after I do it. I am under the assumption that it is a non c-clip rear end which means there should be a mini spool available for it. Does anyone know where I can find one so I can avoid the welded gears. also am I wrong in assuming it's a non c-clip rear end?. Thanks, Craig

I've never heard of a mini spool for a Toyota. But you can get a full spool.

It's not a c-clip rear end, the axles slide in and out on their own into the dropout differential. No clips holding it in.

I remember a post on pirate where geiger said there's no use for a mini spool on a toyota. It was a couple years ago, I don't remember much else.

Yea, I remember something about that too. I was headed over to pirate to do a search, but it seems they are down for the moment.

They seem to be doing that a lot lately.

While there should be a mini-spool available, there is not. But, marlin, randy's r&p, etc. all carry a full spool.
