Don't even wanna talk bout it....
It's back and seems ok...put bout 30 miles on it w/ no problems thus far....we'll see how it wears at the 500 mile mark....no trips till then...
Protrux is blaming my roomate and my roomate blames them....the pulleys werent right from their motor intsall a year ago....when we went to insatll a new temp and water pump the belt was worn and rubbin on the upper pulley....we changed it and brought the truck directly to the shop....they said we did it wrong and forgot a washer....there was not a washer....they insatlled a washer and that made the pulley hit and not move....timing belt seized and melted onto my pulleys 8 miles outta the shop.....they said my fault again bc/ my roomate must have taken a crowbar to the upper pulley...we never did anything of the kind....I had to pay to have it fixed again (parts no labor) but I dont trust them anymore....It took them 3-4 tries to get it right, and with me paying 2600 bucks to rip my motor apart a year after a 4000 dollar rebuild just ... it kinda bugs me that they cannot fix right the first, 2nd, or 3rd time....granted they claim what my roomate did was unnoticable, but if I was a tech and I saw that come in (what they claim) I would test drove it for more than 8 miles or test drove it pulled the cover and checked...none of the above...they let me go make it 8 milles and then let me pay have it towed back only to ÅÅÅÅ me over for the weekend (told me it'd be done, show up at closin and all the techs gone, no owner all day, and parts not even ordered...all lies over the phone, and excuses upon showing up)and part of this week....
whatever though....never gonna mention it again and not goin there anymore unless my motor gives me ÅÅÅÅ....

Wow, you seem to have bad experiences there.
In all fairness, you beat the Shizzle out of that truck. I got to watch them tear the upper half off (I spend too much time at that shop, hahaha) and dude there was mud all in your valve train. Your Passenger side cam shaft had grooves worn in it from all the mud. You better saty away from the messy stuff, it will take it's toll.
Aside from that, I was looking at your front galss again, I actually liek it alot. It kinda has a stock look to it, and that is cool in the fact that people will trip out when you spank em in the sand.

Ya....I'm beginning to like the glass now too....the truck looks good and a lot better now that it has a new grille on it (from '91 4 runner)
I'm gonna take the bedsides off and spary them the color of the cab.....then it'll look real sleeper....I built my bedcage that way so from the side view its not really seen....

Looks pretty damn sweet (needs a pre-runner/tube bumper tho).
For the rear track width, get a 95-04 Tacoma rear axle...preferably with the TRD locker, and bolt it right in .
Newer brakes, axle, and a bit wider. A t100 axle would work too but no e-locker.

I just ordered the gen 2 caddy kit new for $1500 from the San Diego Truck Shop. Pretty good deal so I figured I might as well splurge since I've been thinkin about it for a while now.
