Im going with a little 2.5" lift.... either coils or spacers.... and i keep reading how people are saying you need drop down brackets? first, what do the brackets exactly do? 2nd, how mch are they? and 3rd who makes them?

also, is there anything else i need for this amount of lift?

Panhard drop bracket. Yep, it will help. Look here www.sonoransteel.com for the explanation what they do.

what would be the result if i do not replace it? less articulation of the rear?

is the lift 2.5" all around, or 2.5" in the front and something else in the rear?

You dont NEED them. Your axle might be a half inch cocked to the right without it. Not even noticeable unless you get a tape measurer out and measure it.

If your worried about articulation, go ahead and just remove the sway bar all together.

i would say to go ahead and get the drop bracket. its only 75 and it straightens out your axle. or u can get a pan hard bar for 150 after core. If u want just the bracket, i have one taht i havent used yet. Im looking to get the bar. let me know

Basically hit it right on. You don't necessarily NEED it, but it is a good idea. I would reccommend the replacement panhard bar from sonoran steel so if you ever go back to stock, it will be much easier than having to saw off a bracket that was welded on.

I ran with no panhard bar drop bracket and with no rear swaybar for almost a year and had great articulation!

I got mine for one main reason... After doing the lift and getting it aligned, I felt my car was a bit twitchy after every bump/dip.. It would have a weird wiggle to it. I ended up getting the bar, since I found that getting the bracket plus getting it professionally welded wouldn't be worth the price difference to me. The bar is a simple DIY. Oh yeah, no more twitchy feeling after the panhard bar.

i did LC coils in the rear without doing the panhard drop... everyonce and a while when i am extremely flexed out, i will hear the Orca's.... that what i call it when you drive line rubs on your gas tank... it sounds like whales talking... i say screw the pan hard drop unless you have a money tree in your abck yard.

IMO, the purpose is way beyond articulation. In fact, I don't see how it would affect articulation at all.

I do know that without a drop bracket or drop bar your shocks are sitting crooked all the time. This means that when you hit bumps they actually twist side to side. I know of at least one 3rd gen owner that has replaced 2 sets of OME shocks because the top bolts have broken off.

You do what you think is best...

Without it, you'll break shock shafts. That's the bottom line.

And it will be 1/2" of and drive a few degrees off.

well i'm just gonna wait till these shocks break before puttin a new set on then! they are too short anyhow.

I hope you're being sarcastic here... The shock holds the spring in place.... If the sucker breaks and you go over a bump or dip hard, it might get ugly.....
