DeMello Slider Install

I finally ordered sliders from Jason DeMello (DeMello Off-Road) during his Christmas Sale. I purchased the HD Round Sliders and had them custom sized (because of the larger Limited Flares). Here are some pics of the install and final product.

Jason fit the sliders and lined them up.

He clamped them up to mark where to grind away the paint on the frame for a better weld.

He Ground the Powder Coat of the edges of the plates for good welding contact.

He welded on the Passenger side.

More bullets.

Weld some more...

Almost done.

Prime and Paint

Jason did a great job with the design, build and install. He is a humble guy with lots of talent. Yeah, he is funny too, but I had to squeeze a smile out of him in front of the camera. Before and After shots to come...

George,

Looks great! I remember DeMello's sliders on Calrockx's 4runner and they are top quality. If I do get sliders, I think I like the style you got. Is it the same as Calrockx? And it looks powder coated too. Or to get to the point: how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? (PM is fine too)

On another note: Demello looks like a young "Tank Abbott" from UFC fighting fame.

Hey Bob, I paid the posted price he had during the sale. $269 for the powder coated HD 1.75" all round sliders. I also paid $50 for the install. The powder coat is top notch. His welding and design is great too. He also has other designs. He has smaller round tube 1.5", he has all square 2", and some really cool hybrid 2" square under the truck with 1.75" round outside... I will try and post a pic later of these. He is located in Santa Ana. You gonna see them this Sunday at Hungry Valley??

Looks good, George. Real good.

Bob, I'm pretty sure those are the same as mine. The angle up on the outside might be slightly different, and the length due to the George's specifications, but I'm guessing they're just about the same (we both have limited style flares).

I look forward to seeing them at HV, or maybe even tonight.

Yeah they're top quality sliders. I wanna put them to use this Sunday!!

Hope to see you Sunday, Bob.

Charles... Yep they are the same tubing as yours, only mine are something like 2" shorter than yours. Even though you do have big flares they are not quite as big because of the way the limited ones fit over the body cladding and the degree to which they drop into the running boards.

I agree...
But, as cheap as I am, I'll have to wear them out to get others...
I have already lost traction many times in easy situations because of the stock 265x70R 16's ... You know the ones... General Grabbers.... They are all over the forum...
