Custom Rear Recovery Point
With SE4RJ4 only a couple days away and me still not having a rear bumper (which meant not rear recovery point), my dad and i got creative. I went to a junkyard today and found all the toyota 4x4s i could find and took the front hook off them. I only found 3, but for $20 bucks i got all 3 and the hardware. So we drilled holes in the very bottom of the back of the frame and took a piece plate steel, cut it with the plasma cutter and made a spacer for them. I used the bolts that came with the hooks. These will stay on untill we get steel to make a custom rear bumper.
I'll shut up now. Let me know what yall think pelase. Thanks for looking!!!

Theres nothing easier to reach for when its underwater than those hooks. I know that from experience of hanging over my hood with my friend holding my ankle while I'm ready to go head first into 3 feet of disgusting muddy water.

I Hate HOOKS..... Very Very Unsafe.
I would box the end of the frame in and Weld/Bolt a D-Ring in its place. Sure you have to spend a couple extra seconds attaching the Shackle or looping the tow strap threw.
However How are you going to attached the hook from a winch onto that hook ?
10,000 LBS D-RING

Be careful on the non-boxed frame like someone said. I wouldn't have someone yank on it super hard but should work for mild recovery until you get your rear bumper.
