alright guys im thinking about putting a four inch lift under my 2wd automatic, using custom tube works spindles, axle flip kit, and running 30 baja radials. also want to install a flatbed that i already have lined up through a friend. I've figured its going to cost me around 1100 on the high end and buying a 4x4 here in Ohio that is as clean with low miles isn't going to happen for 3 grand. just want to see what other people think, if anyone's used these spindles, where to get a cheap flip kit and what gears to run in the rear end. THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!!!!!!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO WHAT YOU GUYS THINK...

You'll kill your power and MPG's unless you gear it to.
Id keep it as a commuter. Its not like your gonna off road it right?

yea its my DD but i just want something different. im willing to spare the gas mileage but im waiting on the tires until im finished with the lift kit.

Have you considered some fender trimming up front? Since your doin a flat bed you can pretty much pick your fender clearance.

Choped 2'' out of mine. Used some plastic molding to hide the cut.

yea i haveconsidered chopping out someof my fender.amazingly its cheaper to put 4" under this thing than 2.i have a set of 30" radials lined up the biggest thing thats holding me back is the rear end

The guys in Cali that run the Prerunner type trucks usually go with the lifted spindles and glass bedsides and front fenders. I knew one guy when I lived there that had a 2wd Silverado that was lowered in the rear an inch and raised in the front with 2 inch spindles and ran 35's with glass fenders and bedsides.

Even though it's way more extreme than you want, check out this one, its still spring under even.

Never said it wasnt an option haha. the guys making the spindleshas decent deals on glass fenders, and i kinda like the look. One of my buddies has a lifted ranger running a baja type suspension (helped do the lift on it) and hes running the glass fenders, so eventually i might just for the heck of it. if you knowa placewith good deals on em lemme know lol.

when you chopped your fenders what did you do about the inner fenders?

That stuff you see in the front wheel well is floor mat, actually the most difficult part.
The inside edge has to be caulked in place because theres nothing to screw to. But the caulking i used is almost stronger then the screws.

Get some really sticky caulking and some self tapping screws with big washers, and a couple of thin rubber floor matts.
Little tricky but not to bad. Water proof to if you do it right.

Its not bad. Helps to have 2 people. If someone holds one end of the mat you can trace the it out.

did you already order the spindles from CTW? if you have, good luck and i hope you get them. they have a VERY bad reputation on other forums for taking peoples money and never delivering product. if you havent, then try OMS http://obsessedmotorsports.com/Products.html havent really heard anything bad from them.

well its been awhile since ive been on here, ive done some work to the truck tucked 4" lift spindles (from custom tube works) under the front, somewhat stuck on the rear, need to find a flip kit asap. any suggestions would be much apperciated. in all honesty lifting this thing up has greatly improved my gas mileage. i have to drop the rear end soon and go through the rear end soon so i would really like to get this rear end to an axle under leaf.
