in a nutshell- you could. but with spacers you increase the range of wheel travel.

Definitely get the BJ spacers and the Torsion Bars. Both are straight forward installs especially the BJ spacer. With both of them I was easily able to lift my truck 2 inches. With out the bj spacers you could lift your truck 2 inches with new torsion bars but your upper control arms would be riding on the bumps stops which would not be good.

here's a pic of mine with the BJ spacers and torsion bars adjusted:

Before my front height was 26 3/4" and the rear height was 28 1/4" (measured from the ground to center of the wheel well)
Now my front height is.......29"........and the rear height is...29"

It's legal if it only lets 5% of the light in, right ??? I bought it like that, it was a lowrider owned by a homey. I haven't had any complaints about it yet.

5% transmission factor so only 5% of the light gets in... then you have to deal with the reflected light back out so the cop can see you with his flash light... so the cop get's 5% of 5% which is like what, .25% transmission when the cop shines his flashlight in?

Since the column shift auto has its linkage pass through the firewall below where the steering shaft passes through the firewall, and has a near vertical link to the cantilever (bellcrank, cam, whatever you want to call it) that translates the vertical motion of the shift lever into the horizontal motion the transmission needs, lifing the body off of the frame would require extending the vertical linkage where it passes through the firewall correspondingly. A 10 or 20 dollar part no one seems to want to make.
Lifting the body 1" would amount to you moving the shift lever from Park to Neutral, or Reverse at best.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. I installed a 1" BL on mine.

Call me crazy, but how exactly do you lift a SUA 2wd by adding a leaf...I'm pretty sure that would lower it

Hopefully I'll get a better pic of my truck tomorrow. With 27.5" swampers (actual size)

You're crazy.

The add a leaf will increase the spring arch, which will lift the top of the leaf pack farther from the axle connection point, which will lift the vehicle. Spring under or over, increased arch adds lift.
