so before attaching the panel , its easiest to drill and install the nutcerts for the fuel filler pocket

and with that , time to epoxy the panels on

also , David wanted a new rear bumper
so we ordered in the TG unit .. got it all prepped and painted today

clamps off today , and wanted to check fit of the gate before we do the new gate panel ..
body lines were great , maybe little tight .. but there is some room to sand the edges if needed , but we dont need to

so now time to tear down the gate

just in time .. dealing with minimal rust ...

all cleaned up and some POR 15 for some longevity .. curing over the weekend , should be ready to epoxy on Monday

skin all prepped and ready to install

also got the fuel assy back together

Looks good... clean gaps... what about spraying the backside of the panels after install with some of that black rubberized asphalt undercoat stuff for better sound insulation?
would it add too much weight to the panel and or react with the fibreglass negatively?
how does the fibreglass panel handle the cold of a canuck winter? could you slide into a drift on the koch and drive away or would the panel shatter?

Thank you ..
spraying the panels I think is a mute point .. I drove Davids truck today, as well as many other earlier 4Runners (84-89) we have done with larger 1/4r panels , and there is no "noticable" autable noise because of the panels . I certinally wouldnt recommend it .
as far as weather concerns . with the ADVANCED MATERIALS we use , there is absolutly no differance between -40 or +40 , properties do not change . We use specific resins and materials specially forumulated for the different changes in climates
