Will a SCed engine run if the SC belt breaks?
Will a super charged engine run at all if the SC belt breaks or are you stuck on the side of the road until you get a new belt on?
I know you're going to say carry a spare belt, so let me just add I have a new spare already, but I have a little noise in my fan (bearing) bracket which I think also drives the SCer belt right? So I'm a little worried about that bearing going out on me.

Yes it does, but only as long as you have battery which lasts about an hour. Switch off all electrical stuff including AC, radio etc.

)Maybe I'm missing something, but if the belt breaks, it will block airflow to the engine. The roots type compressor that the supercharger is, i believe, seals quite well, and if they are not turning, then there shouldn't be any air getting to the engine. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you have a properly tuned engine it will run fine when your "off boost"
Also almost all S/C's have something called a BYPASS valve that opens up when your idle or cruising to bypass the impellers.
