where are the zerk fittings located?

im underneath the truck right now...where are the zerk fittings on the drive line located on a 1997 sr5 4 runner 4wd 3.4 v6?

ive found what i think are the zerk fittings...but they dont seem to be taking any lubricant from my grease gun?

ive tried the search button for zerk...no luck. ive also looked through the tech and writeup sections. dont assume everyone asks before they look!

hey i had the same problem today...heres a link to bobs write up......http://www.4runners.org/articles/zerk/
Also, what grease gun did you get...i got the little one that has the pistol grip and recieves 3 oz cartriges. when i did mine today also, the grease just came out around the zerk and no where else so i am assuming it didnt take it in!

i found an article about someone using a needle thing to get it in there but others have said that they were fine with a regular gun.

i wonder if we got the short end of the stick with some super small fittings!!!!

No, zerk fittings are typically a standard size (there are different sizes but the grease gun works with almost all of them). You just aren't pushing hard enough on the gun when you pump the grease in.....you can also get a flexible end which makes it easier to line up (you need to make sure the zerk is not off angle with the gun as well).
