what's wrong with my runner?
here's what happened:
i was turning left onto an onramp and i just completely missed the other guy coming the other direction. he hit the brakes but still hit me. right on the front passenger wheel. my TJM bumper corner dented his hood and the wheel is flaking some paint, thats about it. no body damange.
but the front wheel is bent in - the bottom inside with the top pointing out. i hobbled to a nearby parking lot to await towing and on the way, when turning, the tire was rubbing. the whole truck didn't really shake or vibrate tho. and when i was going straight, the steering wheel was not straight.
it's at a shop now and they're gonna call me with what's wrong, but thought i'd get some insight on here too, as best i can with my account and a couple pics at least.
oh, and the front bumper shifted to the driver side about a centimeter. i hope the frame is okay, it looks okay, but who knows. it'd be nice if were simply an alignment issue, but that's too easy. just a really stupid mistake on my part. this sucks.

could be smacked out of alignment or something is bent. i'm not as familliar with the newer styles but when i worked at an alignment shop we'd always have people who smacked curbs and had bent susp parts afterwards. especially if you can visually see something isnt right. good luck.

well, got my junk back.
it needs an alignment.
also, gussets on the lower a arm need rewelding.
that appears to be it. i'm thinking it's too good to be true that's all i need, or just really lucky. could have been worse. bruce was kind enough to say he'll check it out and weld it up for me. i'm pretty sure the spindle and rest of the suspension are okay.
not too bad i guess for having a hyundai slam into me at a good 10-12mph.

today has just been a horrible day. wrong mcdonalds order, accident, not getting to hit the fresh powder at mt high, computer crashing to the point of having to reinstall windows (nearly losing a huge report i've been working on all weekend), still having to go into work ("oh, we'll send someone to pick you up") then being out of balance, still having some repairs left on the runner, still more work to do tonight...
but i guess it could be worse
no bob, didn't call him. you know know that lawyer you see on billboards whose number is 222-2222, that's my friend's cousin's dad. i've been this his house, he makes the $$$.
