Tire guys-> What is the lowest PSI you can go for offroad (ie snow) with normal A/T tires without risk of problems?

I ran my Wrangler GSAs in the sand at 4psi. you could probably go to 3psi if you really feel like pushing it. just dont do any crazy turns at that speed, or else you could break/spin a bead, not pretty.

i think 10 would be good for snow.

I have never even thought of going that low, my 4-wheeler runs at 20 psi all the way around...that just seems weird to me.

I think in sand or snow, you're okay going below 10 PSI for sure. However, for any type of rock crawling/forest offroading, I'd be leary about getting below 10. I air down to ~15 for the most part. You're alot more likely to get your vehicle on crazy angles and break a bead, and higher tire pressure will help prevent that.

YIKES!! Now that is WAAAAY high for a 4wheeler! All 4 of our 4wheelers (mid '80 hondas) would need btwn 2.5psi and 5psi tops. 25-35psi was for seating the beads to the rims. Read the side of the tire it'll tell ya.

I run 18 p.s.i. on the road and air down to 6/7 p.s.i when offroad. i'm also running 36"x12.50x15. T.s.l sx's biased ply tires.
