oh i got it fixed up real quick. it happened on wed march 10, and i got all the parts i needed (axle seal and bearing from the dealer, axle and carrier from brucets) and took it to the shop no the following tuesday, got it back later that day.

but just today i think i noticed some grease around the passenger side cv axle boot on the diff side. and if i tore a boot or something, i'm gonna be mad. esp since i haven't offroaded in a while.

So why exactly do you need a new carrier? Was there a locker in there? If not, I don't see how you would need a replacement unless the broken shaft spun in there before breaking. It's kinda hard to tell from the pic.

Actually the carrier was just fine, the spider gears cracked, they simply took the gears out of my carrier and installed them in his.

Hard to tell if the boot is torn in those pictures, if one is just give me a call and we can plan a day to replace the boot. I have a couple of extra high angle boots as spares here that we can install.

right. i should have been more specific. it was the spider gears, not the carrier.
