I think you are reffering to Protect All Quick & Easy Wash . That thread is an excellent write-up on how to use the stuff. It's supposed to work great, I just don't have a need to for it. You can get it at RV stores.

I have my own auto detailing business (the reason I got the truck) so how my truck looks reflects my image to my customers, so you can guess how good it always looks (I just waxed it before typing this )

I spent most of the afternoon on tuseday polishing my wheels. They are polished aluminum and the looked horible. White spots all over them all most looking pitted. I got them almost back to nomal but the rim lip. I live in NC I would hate to see what the salt does to some of you guys wheels that live up north.

Trust me, right now they have the 5' look. They look good till you get 5' from them. I need to polish them something horrible. And replace the center cap on the back passenger side because it developed some rust, guess those chinsy caps that MT puts with their wheels aren't quality at all. This wash was just a half ass wash, took me three hours inside and out, but usually when I clean a vehicle it will take me an entire day, if not longer.

OEM Aluminum wheels can stay coated with salt no problem at least I've never had the problem, when you wash them off they look like new, aftermarket wheels the salt just can't wait to eat them, it's weird

OEM wheels are clearcoated. Many aftermarket ones are not. The OEM ones won't shine as nice, but I prefer their durability.

KRASH,that is one nice '90 truck;it makes me warm and fuzzy about my HS days since it reminds me of my friend's '87 Xtra cab when he got it when it was almost brand new.
