VSC TRAC/OFF and check engine :(
Hey guys
I have a 2001 SR5 with 71,000 miles - bought
it a few months ago.
Was running great until this morning - a lot of rain..
drove over a pretty large area of water a few minutes
later the VSC TRAC and OFF button both came on! as well
as the check engine light. I ran the codes at Autozone and got
P0446 and P0441 (EVAP Emission control vent circuit malfuction)?
No idea what this means. Before I take it to the dealer I want
to check with you guys to see what I should do?
Thanks in advance.

i answered you at t4r.. but for completeness, here it is again:
"Just in case anyone was following this thread, I went to my appointment at the dealer today and it turns out the problem was along the lines of what MTL suggested. The VSV valve was stuck open. Replacement part $44, labor $150. "

Thats for the P0446 code.

Wow, I spent nearly four months trying to figure out how to defeat TRAC and VSC - and all you did was run through a puddle?
The thread.
