Vibration Drive train
I have vibration issue in 2003 tacoma double cab with 184000 miles 4 wheel drive with trd, while accelerating. When I let off the gas vibration goes away as soon as I get back on the gas it rattles my whole dash. All u-joints are tight. When i lift both rear wheels and spin tires I can hear the clunk and wheel has some play passenger side is worse than driverside. Also with wheels up engine on and in gear i can see the wheels wobble around 80 mph. Is this symptoms of axle bearings or something in the rear diff ?

I would start out by changing all the fluids, always start simple. Change the fluids with some high quality fluid, can even put some lucos in them if you want and see if that helps anything.
Then go from there.

I did!!! it turned out to be the rear u joint.. the driveshaft would not move when I got up under the truck in the truck to move the drive shaft. I had to get a friend of mine help me. well I shifted to gear shifter from drive to neutral several times he held on to the drive shaft and could see and feel the driveshaft twisting. I got all the u joints replaced and the cv joint serviced new carrier bearing and the driveshaft balanced all for around 300 dollars. it drives like a dream now... thanks for asking!!

Ya?
I have a vibration simular to yours, except 01 taco 5 speed. Mine occurs only in 5th gear below 60mph, and only if I'm on the throttle. Very consistent, and very noticeable. Checked U-joints, and carrier bearing, all seem fine. Very annoying. I hope its not trany, but also hope its not as stupid as tire balancing either.
Im actually at this point hoping it breaks, just so I can figure out what the ---- it is.
