my truck and cycle have been running like crap since the ethanol change. i hate it. my 'runner manual specifies to not use ethanol higher than 10%.

why isn't gas 10% cheaper with 10% less gasoline in it? damn croox!
ALL texacos should have techron in it. they bought them out a while back. enough time back where all of them should have it. maybe the signs havent changed but the gas has. every texaco i have seen with in the last year all over nc says w/techron....

and yes they are crooks. they are going to get what they can while they can under the current administration.. and yes they are tied together. mucho proof of this online.. go ahead and prepare for 5$ a gallon gas bc at this rate (and it will keep going for the next few years, even the gas companies said so infront of congress yesterday) in 1.5 years... we are ed

Update:
Checked and cleaned 02 sensors w/ electrical contact cleaner. Ohms were out of spec to start with in the heater circut.
Reinstalled, but cleaning didn't help so I replaced them. It was time anyway.
No change. Idle still a bit rough when motor is warm.
Cleaned EGR temp sending unit. Very sooty.
No change.
Next stop is the coolant temp sending unit.

I really can't recommend Seafoam at this point.
I knew better than to use this as a top-end cleaner.......

Are you sure you plugged the MAF back in when you cleaned it? Not trying to be funny..it's easy to forget.

Yup.
Everything double and triple checked.
Thanks for the reminder.
I'm getting ready to drain the coolant and pull the coolant temp sending unit.
I only notice the roughness when the motor gets warm.

Concentrated Techron is strong stuff

According to the texaco website Techron concentrate in the bottle is 10 times stronger than the techron they add to the gas

Yo, Techron IS "good stuff" yet it is also powerfull stuff and there is such thing as Too much of a good thing...Like I said I fouled out my older plugs with techron (my fault) I'm just stating that with out care full use of these products you can damage your engine worse than when you had started...."Less is more" sometimes and maybe concentrated techron all at one time may knock some crud loose or damage older injector seals and really start to cause some issues....
While if one filled up with the less concentrated fuel for several tankfulls of gas that may be a slower better approach...? don't really know?

Btw in Illinois we do not have very many texaco stations (at all)

of course the concentrate techron is 10 times more. but if you start off with clean injectors and intake then using texaco with techron will help keep it clean therefore you wont need any of the extra cleaning mess later in the trucks life. thats how i seeit and besides i dont get the pinging that i do with cheap gas
