If I have time today I'm going to rip the cat out of it and screw some colder spark plugs in it. Was on empty yesterday so it got a tank of premium fuel too.

Good call on the plugs. Are you going 1 step or 2 steps colder?

Good idea, if you want some cheap plugs to test it out with you can use bkr7e NGK (part number 4644 or 6097 <-old part number). They will work fine and you can sometimes find them locally. If you can't find those locally you can almost always find bkr6e's they are only 1 step cooler but better then stock.

For long term pricy plugs the IK22's are pretty good and last a lot longer.

Good move on the 93oct gas, thats a must.

Got it a bit sideways at lunch, spooky feeling with no swaybars, probably shouldn't be doing that on pavement so it doesn't end up on its lid.

LOL, I have got mine sideways more then a few times. Even full on drifted it a few times, some on purpose even! I have the sway bars still on though and i am not lifted, still a lot scarier then my cars though.

Can you spin the tires from a roll? I can just get it spinning from a 1st gear roll on a cold day. If i stomp it and it downshifts it will do it more reliably. My goal for power would be to be able to light the tires up from a roll in 2nd gear. Then i would get stickier tires and start over lol.

Still tossing around the idea of a remote mount setup like this, possibly a full on turbo kit made the right way or even a larger supercharger. Not sure yet.

I was going around a shallow corner and gave it a little to much throttle and it downshifted causing the tires to break loose so then I just stabbed it for fun.

My goal for power would be not get stuck in sand again, not because of spinning and sinking, but the motor wouldn't turn the tires, had to put in in 2low to get out, pissed me off, that was most of the reason for the turbo. Goal achieved.

It pretty much feels like my 4.7 Tundra did. The way it acts should really do good off road, not peaky power at all and there when I need it, and still beat 5 liter mustangs on the way to work.

So where to mount a camcorder in this thing? Don't want to hold it and drive.

Got a camera mount? If so i like the drivers window so you can see the dash and road at the same time.

If you don't have a mount i have setup a tripod with the 2 legs in the back seat and 1 in the passenger side front seat with a bungy to hold it down before.

If that is not an option, get a friend to ride with you and film.

Last ditch effort can just stick it on the dash and tie it there with something.

The cat is gutted, it is a bit louder but in return it spools even quicker. Blew the charge pipe off the intake again on the way home.

My guess is it is popping off due to engine movement. The engine twists away from that coupler IIRC so under WOT the boost combined with the engine twist is just too much for it to handle, thats my guess anyways.

It comes off from not having real hoses and T-bolt clamps yet and not having a BOV. It only blows off after a pull, right when I let off the throttle I hear major compressor surge then poof it blows off, then it dies. When the turbo is hauling ass and the throttle plate closes, it doesn't like that. Easy fix just annoying until my parts show up.

I doubt the BOV is playing a major role in it, got to remember that when you let off the gas the engine is also moving a lot as it settles back out. The engine movement is a lot sharper then when you get on the gas.

I know you think BOV's are the devil, but it's getting one.

LOL, up to you. Hope you have a lot better luck with the MAF sensor then everyone that has tried them before.

Speaking of which, where is the map sensor located?

Like I said before, we have put BOV's on MAF cars in the past and worked just fine if done correct, except one supra gave us a little headache but solved it.

You don't have to hope, it will.
