[QUOTE=seanz0rz;50669017]warning about the trekmasters - if you can even find them, the top nut supplied is inch, while the threadded shaft is metric. you will need to go get m12x1.25 nylock nuts for yours if you get them.
QUOTE]
If you get the Trek's from Steve at Sonoran Steel he supplies a brand new stock nut that doesn't strip. You could use the stock nut, but Steve has a pretty good price and great customer service and shipping, so you might as well just buy from him.

I have Tundra TRD coils up front (no spacers) and OME 890s out back. Here is a before and after picture. I got 1.75" up front and 3.25" out back. The rear was sagging quite a bit.
Before
After
Specs: Tundra TRD Coils. Left, 48131-AF100 (Yellow/Yellow). Right, 48131-AF090 (Blue/Yellow) Old Man Emu 890 Rear Coils. (A Coil goes on drivers side) Shocks: Front, Bilstein F4-BE5-2450-HO. Rear, Bilstein F4-BE5-2451-HO. (Yellow Body and Blue Boot) I reused my Bilsteins because they are still in good condition. I like the ride. I bought the springs from http://www.trdparts4u.com/
SS Front Diff Drip. http://www.sonoransteel.com/
I also installed Poly swaybar bushings from http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/4runswaykit.htm . And rear swaybar end bushings from AutoZone.
I personaly love the ride on road or off. I don't feel that is too stiff. I would deffinitly do the same lift again.

good info Gerdo. Thats one of the most helpful posts I have seen here. With the front shocks the website has a funny list of trucks those will work on and it says limited only to 97 does that mean the 98 limited is different some how?

so when i put new shocks in the coils, do i use the tacoma top plate and studs or the tundra top plate. or does it matter
picture of what i'm talking about.
i don't want any more than 2", so i'm not going to put in a spacer(unless i have too, and don't know it)
thanks all

Use the Tacoma Plate. If you dont want more than 2", the you shouldn't need a spacer. I think the consensus is about 2.25" with just the coils on a Tacoma, but every truck is different...
