I checked around and couldn't find and decent prices on new calipers....so I went to car-part.com and found some used ones off an 01 Tundra. Man was I surprised when I opened the box and saw what I bought for $25 bucks a piece! They look almost brand new!
Got the calipers from Sunset Curve Auto Parts in Weyauwega, WI. If this is how they take care of all used parts...I'll be buying from them again soon!

......those things must have been on a wreck early in its life (or they're from the SW), they look brand new.

I just got a set off a guy on eBay for $38 for the pair, but they aren't nearly as clean as yours (wouldn't matter anyway, one canadian winter and they'd be nice and dirty/rusty). Just need to get my pads and rotors and I'm off to the races.

car-part.com is a great place to go to get used parts, but you definately won't always get parts that clean.

Wow, yeah I paid the same as you but mine were the opposite of pretty. Was it a west coast junk yard that you got them from?

It's really like winning the lottery to get parts that clean unless you buy them in the southwest.

I guess these don't cause the same kind of problems they do on the tundra. I can tell you first hand, that the brakes on my 2000 suck @%%. It's a very common problem on the 00-01 tundras, that toyota refused to fix after 30k miles. I know when I first got my tundra it had the shakes, I put new pads, and rotors, and everything seems to be fine for now. I've heard that the fix only last about 10-15k miles before they eat the rotors again, so we'll see. From what I understand, toyotas fix to it was larger calipers, but I have also read that this didn't even solve the problem. If your not sure what i'm talking about, just go to any search engine, and type in "tundra brake problem" , you'll have hours of reading.

Yep, that's definately been discussed on here quite a bit (Tundra brake TSB) and to a larger extent on Tundrasolutions.com and from what I gathered on there, once people upgraded to the 13WL (231mm) calipers, changed the rotors and used the new pads (5.3" instead of 4.7"), the issue has all but disappeared for the Tundra guys. Now in our case these brakes were meant for a much larger vehicle so even with the pre-fix setup, it is still an upgade for the 3rd gen 4runner. I have yet to hear one person having done this swap to say "nope, didn't make any difference at all". We'll see if they were right when I finally get to do mine soon as well.

you ordered the parts from car-part.com? i thought the site was just a search-engine for availability part at junkyards.

It is.....you just call the junkyard in the "dealer info" section next to the part/price you want.
Don't bother emailing them, they never respond.
