Transmission Conversion

does anyone know if it is possible to convert an automatic transmission to a manual

everything should be a direct bolt-in. you just might have to cut a new hole for your shifter to come up through. check through the junkyards and pick up a manual pedal assembly, it all bolts up

You will also need a "new" ECU.

sweet action, will i have to weld shut the holes that my shifter is in right now and then cut new ones

where can i get an ECU and a clutch assembly because i will need the slave cylinder for the clutch as well right

Probably from the same place you get the transmission, shifter, and pedal assembly from...

The best way to do it is sell yours and buy a 5 speed rig... next best is to find a wrecked rig or one with a blown engine and buy the whole thing. Sell off what's left when you're done.

Cool

I installed a 5 speed trans in my 94 4runner and removed the auto. I did not change the ECU but I did have to swap the trans crossmember and the driveshaft to the 5 speed set up. Doing the cluch peddles is fairly easy ,the firewall has an outline of the cluch master as far as location.
