Tomorrow is Mod Day...
I'm planning on getting some mods done tomorrow after I get out of class. Here's my list:
1. K&N air filter - Has anyone had any problems with water when using the cone filter? I can't decide between getting the cone filter and completely doing away with the box or gettng the drop in filter and cutting the bottom of the box out. What do you guys think?
2. ISR mod - I'm gonna make a run to Home Depot and buy the needed materials to get this one done. Hmmm...hopefully I have a saw. If not, oh well buying tools is a good investment in my book . I'm thinking I should be able to knock this one out in an hour.
3. Replace spark plugs - It's not really a mod but I'm going to change them anyways. They are only about 10K old but I want to know how each cylinder is doing. Maybe it will give me a lead to some of my problems. Hopefully none of my wires break.
4. Extend my rear diff breather - I've had the stuff to do this mod for a while. I've just never gotten around to it.
5. Take the heat shields off my exhaust manifolds and look for leaks - It's not really a mod either but I'm beginning to think that I may have an exhaust leak around there somewhere. I was thinking I could buy some cigarettes (I don't smoke) and hold one down there and see if it blows the smoke. What do you guys suggest for finding exhaust leaks in tight places?
I've decided that even if I get rid of my truck in 5 or 6 months, I still want more power now. So that's why I've decided to spend a little money on it. Maybe it will make me feel better about the 3.slow.
Let me know what you guys think,
Ag
